Chidambaram is one among the five holiest Shiva Temples , each representing one of the five natural elements; Chidambaram represents akasha (ether). The Amruteshwar temple is built in the ancient Bhumij style of architecture. This is one of the temples remained undamaged from attacks and natural calamities.
